Gratitude

Wow, social media was so different this week!

The prophet’s challenge to post gratitude daily was amazing for me. I liked going onto Instagram more this week than ever in the past. It was honestly such a nice change.

Before, I felt a lot of negativity from using social media, maybe because of all the crazy political stuff and COVID. I tried to steer clear of social media because of it. But it was amazing how that left day by day as we all started focusing on the good as expressing gratitude. It was so nice to see so many expressions of the good, of gratitude, of genuine happiness or of blessings — from just about everyone. I don’t want that to end.

It really has changed the mood for me and I am grateful for it. That was a powerful example of the force for good that social media can be, and I hope we can continue using media this way, and learn from the prophet’s invitation.

  1. I loved it as well! I think almost every post I saw for full week was about gratitude. Our prophet is so amazing for using social media to spread the light of Christ!

  2. I agree, it was a nice change of pace! I don't love participating in large-scale social media challenges usually, but I tried to be as authentic as possible. It was nice to focus not just on things I have, but on intangibles that I don't think about very often. Social media was definitely a MUCH happier place this last week.
